Get It Together: Backyard Movie

The oncoming warm summer evenings mean so much more time to spend outdoors and I, for one, have always wanted to have a backyard movie party. These two photos provide some wonderful inspiration. Let’s break down some of the elements (inspiration photo 1, 2, and 3).

First, you’ll need a vintage movie projector to blast a movie up on a white sheet.

You can pile up some throw blankets like these Pendletons (one and two).

On a wire frame bar cart, add in some Coleman lanterns for mood lighting

Cuddle up on some Chevron cushions.

This rustic burlwood bowl would hold as much popcorn as you and your friends could eat.

You can drop votives in these blue glass mason jars for an extra romantic feel on these garden stumps used as fabulous side tables

Finally, announce the evening’s feature film with this mini chalkboard tablet.

And enjoy! What activities do you have planned for this summer? Do you plan to incorporate vintage finds into your backyard decor?
