As with most summers, I typically find about halfway through that I have been wearing nothing but dresses for weeks now, and all I want are more sundresses to fill up the remaining lazy days. The vintage dress world is one of the best, with so many amazing and wearable finds at relatively cheap prices. Check out some of these beauties to help round out an original and glamorous summer dress collection!
1) red, white and blue triangle bunting dress
2) floral shift
I’m not usually a huge fan of pink, but this apartment, featured on Apartment Therapy, is a modern and elegant take on hot pink and is filled with vintage details.
See how we pulled it together…
High Pocket Farm is a beautiful, secluded house nestled high up in the mountains in Colrain, MA on the edge of a working goat farm. We stayed here this past weekend and just loved having such a peaceful and relaxing escape from city life.

With the Kentucky Derby coming up this week, and a trip to a Berkshires Horse Farm in a couple weeks for Cathy’s birthday, let’s just say I have horses on the brain. And so I thought today was a perfect day to take a look at some horse- and stable-related collectibles to add a little of that fun and preppy racing spirit to your home!
1. A cool and affordable horse weathervane
would make a fantastic addition to the lawn of a country farmhouse.
4. I just love the pattern on these cotton fabric
scraps – you could make some amazing accent pillows!
6. A pair of horse racing-inspired prints (top
) make great wall art.
Will you watch the Kentucky Derby this weekend?
What we haven’t mentioned about our amazing and successful junking trip to Maryland is what we found in Frederick and at the DC Big Flea! You may recognize some of these great finds from Katie and Rags’ upstairs and downstairs house tours too since we quickly integrated Katie’s finds into her decor.
Here’s a lovely close-up of Nipper, the RCA dog, one of Katie’s many dog decor finds.
Katie bought this ironstone pitcher and basin to top off her upstairs hallway table and added a few vintage spools to her built-in shelves in the living room. Erika and I each bought a wooden spool that make unique paper towel holders for the kitchen!
