Farmhouse Friday: Waterfront Victorians

This week’s (slightly belated) Farmhouse Friday looks at two large waterfront Victorian homes, both are suited for giant gatherings of friends and family. As we’ve mentioned, it’s impossible not to relax when surrounded by water. Which is your favorite?

Hudson Valley: Kingston, New York

This stately Victorian house sits high above Kingston overlooking the Hudson River. While it’s right in the city of Kingston and only on a little over a third of an acre, it feels isolated and has a majestic view of the Hudson Valley. Best of all, the house retains original details such as tin ceilings and unpainted wood moldings. The most intriguing pictures are of the slightly modern upper levels – like an adult tree house.

5 BR/2 Bath; 80 Walnut Street, Kingston, NY; $229,900

Murphy Realty Group (via Trulia)

New England: Camden, Maine

This beautiful island Victorian home in Maine features an idyllic living room with built-in bookshelves, elaborate wood beams, and a cozy fireplace. A modern kitchen, attached barn, and stunning water views make this home nothing short of a dream.

6 BR/4 Bath; 2 Bay View Street, Camden ME; $1,695,000
